How BROVANA Can Help You

BROVANA^® (arformoterol tartrate) Inhalation Solution is a medication for the treatment of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).¹

BROVANA is a type of medicine called a long-term beta₂-agonist bronchodilator.¹ It helps the muscles around the airways in your lungs stay relaxed to prevent symptoms, such as wheezing, coughing, tightness in the chest, and shortness of breath.¹ Taken consistently, BROVANA can help keep your COPD symptoms under control.¹

BROVANA is used long-term to improve symptoms but does not replace short-acting bronchodilators for sudden, acute symptoms (always have a short-acting bronchodilator with you).¹ Always be sure to use BROVANA as directed, taking it consistently twice a day.¹ It's important to know that there are risks associated with using BROVANA and with all long-acting beta₂-agonists. BROVANA is a medicine called a long-acting beta₂-agonist or LABA. BROVANA is used long term, twice a day (morning and evening), in controlling symptoms of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) in adults with COPD. BROVANA is for inhalation use only through a standard jet nebulizer connected to an air compressor and should not be swallowed or injected. BROVANA should not be used in children.

BROVANA IMPORTANT PATIENT INFORMATION

In patients with asthma, LABA medicines such as BROVANA may increase the chance of asthma-related death from asthma problems. It is not known if LABA medicines, such as BROVANA, increase the chance of death in patients with COPD. BROVANA does not relieve sudden symptoms of COPD and should not be used more than twice a day. Always have a short-acting beta₂-agonist with you to treat sudden symptoms. Get emergency medical care if breathing problems worsen quickly or you use you short-acting beta₂-agonist medicine but it does not relieve your breathing problems. Do not stop using BROVANA unless told to do so by your healthcare provider because your symptoms might get worse. When you are using BROVANA twice a day, do not use other medicines that contain a LABA for any reason.

Tell your doctor if you have a heart condition or high blood pressure. Some people may experience increased blood pressure, heart rate or changes in heart rhythm. In COPD clinical trials, the most common adverse events reported with BROVANA were pain, chest pain, back pain, diarrhea, and sinusitis. Other possible side effects include headache, tremor, nervousness, and dizziness.
