Nebulized BROVANA® (arformoterol tartrate) Inhalation Solution is a type of maintenance medicine called a long-acting beta2-agonist, or LABA, used long term with a nebulizer, 2 times per day (morning and evening) in controlling symptoms of COPD in adults. LABA medicines like BROVANA help the muscles around the airways in your lungs stay relaxed to prevent COPD symptoms, such as wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, and shortness of breath.
In clinical studies, BROVANA was shown to improve lung function for up to 12 hours at a time. The five most commonly reported side effects of BROVANA were chest or back pain, diarrhea, sinus congestion, headache, and tremor.
Do not stop using BROVANA or other medicines to control or treat your COPD unless told to do so by your health care provider, because your symptoms might get worse. Your health care provider will change your medicines as needed.
BROVANA should not be used in children. Do not use BROVANA if you have asthma without using a long-term asthma control medicine.
